Ocumare 74% Chocolate Aragua, Venezuela

This dark chocolate we find notes of dried fruit and cream, accompanied by a mineral taste, then a sweet background of red fruits and a complex floral bouquet.

The Venezuelan coast is home to the richest and most complex cocoa in the world. In particular, Hacienda las Bromelias is a plantation where Ocumare cocoa varieties 60, 61 and 67 are grown, giving this Chocolate its smoothness and delicate, lingering flavors. In the 1970s, the first collection of the best cocoa beans from the state of Aragua was planted in Ocumare de la Costa.
The Hacienda Las Bromelias plantation, owned by the Fischer family, guards these genetic treasures in a secluded environment in the small village of Cumboto, preserving a very special aromatic profile that begins with the fruity notes typical of the region, but also has a mineral flavor.

This Ocumare 74% Chocolate should be enjoyed on its own. However, Amarone, Rum Solera, agricultural rum, IPA or fruit-flavored beers would also be good accompaniments.
