The cocoa beans from Chuao were already reserved for the Spanish royal family back in the days of the conquerors. Chuao is north of Caracas on the coast of Venezuela . The peninsula is only accessible from the sea. Amedei has rediscovered the beans and secured the subscription rights for years through an exclusive contract. So the beans were made available to a group of experts.

In the meantime, other chocolatiers have also secured some of the coveted beans. Everyone processes the beans differently. How remains a secret. You can let the differences melt on your tongue. We have all currently available chocolates made from the coveted cocoa beans for you in our SchokoBOX by Amedei , Rococo , Pralus and Domori . The origin chocolates or single origin chocolates all taste very different, as you can best see for yourself.
