Cocoa beans whole roasted in gift box

The whole, roasted cocoa beans come from one of the oldest and best cocoa growing areas in the world: Sur del Lago in Venezuela. Sur del Lago means located on the lake, meaning the large Maracaibo Lake, which is actually an inland sea. The Criollo cocoa beans are particularly aromatic. It is advisable to remove the shell from the beans before consumption, as they contain bitter substances.

You can eat the cocoa beans like peanuts as a snack or as a nutritional supplement. Cocoa has all the minerals and vitamins except vitamin C and is therefore quite healthy.
