Chocolate made from Criollo cocoa
It is the most original type of cocoa and comes from Venezuela, where you can still find pure-origin cocoa that the Mayans cultivated. The flavors of the criollo are unique and varied. It has a fine acidity and little tannic acid. This is why it was possible for the first time with Criollo cocoa to produce 100% chocolate from pure cocoa mass without any further additives, including sugar.
