The cocoa for this Chocolate bar comes from Öko-Caribe in the north-east of the island from Pimental. Öko-Caribe is a pioneer in the cultivation of cocoa Organic. The Duarte region is the largest growing region on the island. Öko-Caribe works with 150 small farmers who grow the cocoa. They are trained by Öko-Caribe and supported with the Organic certification.

Jens Kamin produces Chocolate in his small factory in Santo Domingo using the Bean-To-Bar process. Definite Chocolate is not yet Organic certified.
