The cocoa for this Chocolate comes from the Zorzal bird reserve - Reserva Privada Zorzal in the province of Duarte in the northern rainforest region. The reserve is approx. 4.12 km² in size and is divided into the natural area and the productive area. The natural area is left to its own devices and remains wild. The birds come from the north of the USA and Canada to spend the winter on the island in the south.

In the so-called productive area, the well-known Zorzal cocoa is cultivated, as well as macadamia nuts and vanilla. Everything is grown naturally, without pesticides etc. This area finances and maintains the nature area.
