"Delia Chuncho" 81% dark chocolate from Peru

The cocoa for this chocolate comes from Peru from the Cuzco region in the Amazon area. In the area is also Cuzco, the former capital of the Inca Empire and later the center of Spanish colonial rule. Some of the cacao still grows wild in remote regions. It is harvested, fermented and dried by indigenous people. The cacao is also called primitive cacao and is very rare.
