Colombia Hacienda Betulia B9 - 70% dark chocolate

70% Single Variety Criollo Bio-Cocoa

The cocoa for this chocolate comes from Colombia. The Hacienda Betulia is a Swiss-Colombian family project. The farm is located in the northwest of Colombia in the province of Antioquia. The cocoa is grown sustainably in an agroforestry next to a nature reserve. They are mainly old criollo varieties that have rare and very complex aromas. The names of the individual varieties have the letter B + a number, here B9 .

The special thing about the cocoa beans is their light color. The dark chocolate is as light as milk chocolate, see photo. The cocoa tastes relatively sweet and surprisingly fruity. A real treat!
