Morin

The Morin family has been making Chocolate in Donzière in the south of France since 1884, with four generations now passing from father to son. Chocolaterie A. Morin, founded by André Morin, produces its own chocolates from bean to bar. Today it is run by Franck Morin and has also become known in German-speaking countries for its remarkable quality. He often combines flavors from the orchards and lavender fields of his own family garden into the handmade Chocolate.

Direct & fair

He sources his cocoa directly from the growing countries from Venezuela to Vietnam. In doing so, Morin emulates his French colleagues Francois Pralus and Pierre Bonnat, and offers span chocolate "World trip" from cocoas from all known corners of the cocoa world.

Atypical of Southern chocolatiers who heavily roast cacao - like coffee - his chocolates are roasted to match the cacao, with extra cocoa butter added only when necessary for a creamy texture and nuanced flavor profile - again, something very French in the way chocolate is made.

With a wide range of chocolates from whole milk Chocolate to 100%, Morin varies the sugar content to bring out the flavor of each cocoa.
