Morropón 70% Chocolate Piura Perou

Piura is located in northwestern Peru, bordering the Pacific coast and Ecuador to the north. The region is named after the river Rio Piura and is divided into 8 provinces. One of them is Morropón with its capital Chulucanas. Peru is about three times the size of Germany, but has only 10% of the population density of Germany. In Piura it is 42 inhabitants per km².

The landscape here is relatively flat, and the capital of Morropón Province is only 131 meters above sea level.

The cocoa has a relatively high proportion of white cocoa, which makes the chocolate almost as light as a milk chocolate. Due to the careful roasting, many of the very fine flavors of the cocoa also remain in the chocolate.

The flavors are reminiscent of dark red fruits like plum and cherry, but have hints of sherry or whiskey barrels. The chocolate is very creamy and chocolaty.
