Rainforest Nuts 65% dark chocolate with nuts

This Chocolate uses four different types of nuts from the South American rainforest. All of them have been known in this part of the world for centuries and are so-called superfoods, rich in omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids and other nutrients. They are native plants in an area with the greatest biodiversity and one of the most threatened ecosystems on the planet. One of the nuts, the Macambo seeds are also a Theobroma species, related to Theobroma Cacao.

The bar contains 4 small tablets, each containing a different nut:

• Sacha Inchi
• Macambo Theobroma
• Cacay / Orinoco nut
• Shuar Peanut

The Chocolate is made from genetically pure Nacional cocoa. It belongs to the Heirloom Cacaos, best described as pure, old cocoa. To'ak has a tree nursery where the seedlings are grown and later planted in the rainforest. In close cooperation with the cocoa farmers, this counteracts the senseless deforestation of the rainforest. The cocoa farmers are paid at least three times the Fairtrade price for their work.
