The chocolate is made from wild Criollo Arriba Nacional cocoa from Ecuador. With 75% cocoa content, the chocolate has an intense flavour of cocoa, nut and cashew nuts. Despite the high cocoa content, the chocolate tastes strong but pleasant and not bitter. The chocolate consists of only three ingredients:

    Cocoa beans
    Sugar
    Cocoa butter

The cocoa grows in El Carmen in the north of the Manabi region, a coastal region of Ecuador on the Pacific Ocean. The cocoa farmers Don Bolivar and Don Demesion take care of the precious plants. They ferment and dry them carefully under the supervision of Miguel Orellana.
