85% Kokoa Kamili Tanzania chocolate

The 85% chocolate consists of the Criollo and Trinitario Cocoa beans. The beans come from the Kokoa Kamili cooperation, which procures the cocoa beans from farmers in the region of the southern Kilombero Valley in Tanzania. The cooperation attaches great importance to a close connection with the farmers and has set itself the goal of improving living and working conditions.

In 2011, Marieke Wijne-Slop from the Netherlands opened her chocolate factory in Staatz. Staatz is located in Austria's largest wine-growing region and is a small market town with around 2000 inhabitants.

The taste of the chocolate is very contrasting : the woody note is complemented by a surprisingly fruity citrus taste.

The 85% Kokoa Kamili Tanzania chocolate is a nice treat for friends of dark tart chocolate
